The Chargers broke the game open with a 21-8 3rd quarter advantage. Finishing with 17 points and 8 rebounds was Quynton Younker. Eli Kading was 4/8 from 3-point range and had 14 points. Lucas Marsh submitted 10 points and 8 boards.
Exira-EHK 58, CAM 48
It’s a big, big win for Exira-EHK as they knock off a rival, a previously undefeated team, and a ranked opponent. The Spartans led the entire 2nd half after scoring the final 12 points in the 1st half. Creighton Nelson and Tyler Petersen each scored 20 points. CAM got 13 out of Jacob Holste.
Harlan 76, Lewis Central 67
A big 3rd quarter propelled Harlan to a 7-1 record. Connor Bruck was 10/16 from the floor, 3/4 beyond the arc, and 9/10 on free-throws for a career high 32 points. Bruck also had 4 steals. Michael Erlmeier was 6/9 and pitched in a season best 18 points. Johnathan Monson scored 14 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Harlan outscored LC 45-29 in the 2nd half after trailing by 7 at the break.
Mount Ayr 67, Nodaway Valley 54
The Wolverines were led by 21 points from Clay Hohertz. He went 7/13 from the field and buried 4 3-pointers. Tyler Vandewater (13) and Mason Menefee (12) combined for 25 points. Joshua Baudler recorded 6 assists.
Treynor 73, AHSTW 50
AHSTW had two players in double figures with Raydden Grobe scoring 11 and Clayton Akers putting up ten. It’s the first loss of the season for the Vikings. Treynor was led by Jack Stogdill’s 19 points. Three others were in double figures for the Cardinals including Jack Tiarks whose 14 points included a pair of dunks.
