(Greenfield) The Occupational Safety and Health Administration honored Cardinal IG in Greenfield Wednesday morning for their Voluntary Protection Program Star Certification achievement.
OHSA’s VPP program began in 1982 and is designated to promote worksite safety and health, by establishing a comprehensive safety health and management system with cooperative relationships between OSHA, workplace management and labor.
“I commend all of you for the hard work you’ve put in to accomplish this significant milestone and designation of a VPP Star certification site,” stated Iowa Labor Commissioner Rod Roberts. “For this company and this particular facility to receive this designation is a huge accomplishment. And that’s’ why we’re all here today to congratulate you.”
Cardinal IG Greenfield underwent comprehensive evaluation and review to qualify for the program’s Star certification, OSHA’s highest level of recognition for employers and employees who demonstrate exemplary achievement in the prevention and control of occupational safety and health management system. Cardinal IG Greenfield is one of only 43 Star sites in the State of Iowa, and one of 2,112 businesses nationally to achieve this distinction.
