(Audubon) The Audubon Swimming Pool has been open for one week and they’ve had a strong turnout.
Park and Recreation Board President Ashley Hartl says admission figures have either matched or exceeded those from last year. In fact, with pools in many of the surrounding communities closed there have been some new faces in Audubon. “I’ve had several people very, very happy that we are open so they are able to come and swim.”
So far everyone is adapting well to additional disinfecting procedures. “The lifeguards really haven’t noticed much of a difference from past years and they say it’s going really well.”
Hartl says they had no trouble filling out a staff with eight lifeguards in place from the opening day and they’ve added two more since. The pool opened on Monday, June 22nd.
