(Bedford) A Taylor County man faces murder charges in connection with the death of a Bedford woman.
According to the Iowa Department of Public Safety, the Taylor County Communications Center received a 911 call late Saturday night from 108 Pearl Street in Bedford reporting a death.
Arriving Officers found 62-year old Sue Godfiron who had been assaulted with a knife. Godfirnon was later pronounced deceased.
Authorities identified a male suspect as Christian Andrew May, 32, of Bedford. May was transported to the Taylor County Jail, arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder, and Willful Injury.
The Iowa State Patrol Assisted the Iowa Division of Investigation.
