(Denison) Iowa State Patrol Troopers are performing double-duty in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. Besides patrolling the roadways, troopers are delivering personal protective equipment to hospitals.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper and Public Information Officer Shelby McCreedy said on Saturday troopers delivered to 15 different counties including; Audubon, Monona, and Taylor counties in southwest Iowa.
On another note, while semi and commercial vehicle traffic are holding steady, McCreedy is noticing a significant decrease in passenger vehicle travel on Iowa’s roadways.
Trooper McCreedy says people are sensitive to who they come in contact with in regards to COVID-19. She says the best way to avoid coming in contact with law enforcement is to wear your seat belt and drive the speed limit.
