(Council Bluffs) A traffic stop on Interstate-80 in Council Bluffs Wednesday afternoon uncovered an estimated $4.5 million worth of marijuana.
35-year-old Dmitry Borisov, of Los Angeles, CA, was driving a 2016 Yellow Penske box truck when he was stopped for speeding at the 7.5 mile marker. A Council Bluffs Police Service Dog was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics. The subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered 61 cardboard boxes containing approximately 1,500 pounds of suspected marijuana.
Borisov was booked into Pottawattamie County Corrections on charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver-Marijuana Over 100Kg/Under 1,000 Kg, Prohibited Acts, Tax Stamp Violation, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
