(Corning) Corning ranks number #2 on the Rural Revival list of small towns highlighted in 2019.
The press release highlights the thriving scene in Corning; (pop. 1,635) as the result of a forward-thinking community that is full of vision for their small town, with virtually no empty buildings on their main street. From the award-winning shops and restaurants to a floating winery and unlimited recreational opportunities, there is something here for everyone all year round.
Marti Gebbie, Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Corning Director said the community and leadership’s focus is keeping this Adams County town going and growing.
Gebbie said Corning’s Main Street Community status for the past 30-years has helped Corning thrive. She says being a Main Street Community has provided them with resources that aren’t available to other communities.
