(Red Oak) A Montgomery County man found not guilty by a jury earlier this month of election misconduct appeared before the Montgomery County board of supervisors today (Tuesday).
On July 1, Montgomery County Deputies arrested 36-year-old Joseph Christopher Norris of Red Oak on the charge of election misconduct in the first degree, a Class C Felony. The case stemmed from an incident in November 2024. The Attorney General’s Office assisted with the investigation. Norris was found not guilty.
Norris was accused of interfering with the election process while helping count absentee ballots during the 2024 presidential election. Norris says he did not appear before the supervisors to relitigate his case. He said he was there to talk about what comes next.
Norris stated he came to the supervisors meeting on Tuesday because the board of supervisors is Montgomery County’s voice.
Dwayne Adams, spoke in front of the board and stated he was not involved in all this, and recognized the supervisors as having a tough job. He says he does not cast any stones, and has heard both sides of the story, has stood back in the shadows, and feels justice has been served. Adam’s said quote, “Joey does not speak for everybody in the room for the record.”
