(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors has proclaimed November 4th through the 11th, 2026, as Operation Green Light for Veterans. The initiative recognizes the sacrifices and contributions of military veterans and highlights the challenges some face transitioning to civilian life.
The proclamation encourages residents, businesses, and organizations to display green lights at their homes and properties as a visible symbol of gratitude and support for veterans. The initiative also promotes connecting veterans with the benefits, resources, and community support they have earned.
