(Oakland, IA) — Riverside Boys Cross Country competed at a huge meet on Saturday in Pella. Despite being the smallest school in a field of 28 teams, the Bulldogs finished a solid 14th place with Owen Fenner getting the best individual finish in 25th place out of nearly 600 runners.

Oliver says running against some of the best 4A runners at Pella is a great measuring stick for his boys
Junior Colton Hering had been the number five varsity runner at the start of the season but has been injured and Oliver says he should come back in two weeks. In the meantime, Sophomore Trig Drahota and Freshman Nolan Burbridge are holding down the final varsity spots
Next up for the Riverside boys is a meet at Harlan this Saturday.
