(Greenfield, IA) — A cross country legend has come home to coach Nodaway Valley — Josh Baudler won the state title in his Senior season and after running in college and has come back home to work on the family farm and this year has stepped up to coach the boys and girls cross country teams.
Last Thursday, the Wolverine boys took home the team title at West Central Valley — Junior Gabe Winkelmann led the way with a second place finish overall. Baudler says that Winkelmann is hard on himself to preform
The Kading twins — Paul and Luke are both seniors. Paul was third last Thursday and Luke was 5th. Baudler says they compete against the competition and against themselves
There are also Juniors Josh Nelson and Jack Berg, Sophomore Everett Ehler and Senior Haden Colton.
Nodaway Valley boys were state qualifiers a year ago and to go back Baudler says they have to take one step at a time
The girls only have three runners and they are all young — Sophomores Abigail Nelson and Kenzie Lilly plus Freshman Bailey Breheny.
Nodaway Valley will compete tonight at Winterset.
