(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors has approved a new citizen recognition program.
Adair County Sheriff Jeff Vandewater said the program is something he has wanted to establish for a long time as a way to recognize members of the public who assist the Sheriff’s Office.
Vandewater said the program will provide an opportunity to show appreciation for citizens who go above and beyond to help law enforcement. Those recognized could receive an item such as a challenge coin in recognition of their efforts.
In other action, the Supervisors approved a request from the County Engineer to purchase a brush-cutting head and authorized advertising for an Assistant County Engineer position.
The Supervisors also approved setting the data center permit fee at $500. The board tabled action on a data center resolution and setting dates for public hearings until their next meeting.
