(Tipton) One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident Monday morning in Cedar County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the crash happened at approximately 11:07 a.m. at 1937 Highway 38 near Tipton.
A 2015 Freightliner Cascadia semi, driven by 64-year-old David A. Kack of Springville, was backing across the roadway into a private drive when the front of a 2016 Dodge Dart, driven by 74-year-old Terrence W. Tylee of Corallville, collided with the left side of the semi’s trailer. Tylee was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital by AirCare where he passed away.
The accident remains under investigation.
