(Des Moines) Governor Kim Reynolds today announced her appointment of Stephen Waymire as Administrator of the Iowa Lottery.
Waymire has served as the Iowa Lottery’s Investigations Bureau Chief and a member of its executive management team since 2022, after more than 30 years in law enforcement with the Des Moines Police Department.
“I’m pleased to appoint Stephen Waymire to lead the Iowa Lottery as its new Administrator,” said Governor Reynolds. “Steve brings outstanding leadership and extensive firsthand knowledge of the organization’s operations. His deep commitment to accountability and long record of public service will strengthen the Lottery’s mission and support its continued success for Iowans.”

The Iowa Lottery is a division of the Iowa Department of Revenue.
