(Iowa) The History Channel’s American Pickers will be returning to Iowa and Illinois this September to film new episodes of the long-running television series and is looking for local collectors with unique items and stories to share.
The documentary series follows experienced antique pickers as they travel the country’s back roads in search of historically significant, rare and unusual antiques. Along the way, they meet collectors with memorable stories and work to preserve pieces of America’s history by giving forgotten relics a new life.
Producers say the team is always looking to discover items they have never seen before, along with the people and collections behind them. They are seeking leads from individuals who own unique collections and are interested in selling.
The show is not interested in visiting stores, flea markets, malls, auction businesses, museums or any collections that are open to the public.
Anyone who would like to be considered can email their name, phone number, location and a description of their collection, along with photos, to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call (646) 493-2184.
