(Atlantic) Volunteers contribute countless hours each year to help make the Cass County Fair one of the few completely free fairs in Iowa.
Fairboard members, department and junior superintendents, the Junior Fairboard, Grounds Committee, Cass County Extension Council, Cass County 4-H Endowment Committee, Youth Action Committee and 4-H Youth Council all assist with planning and operating the fair.
Community service clubs, businesses and individuals also assist with planning meetings, preparation and activities throughout the fair. Volunteer roles include working at the food stand, hosting static exhibits and helping with the livestock auction.
The 2026 Cass County Fair will take place from July 23 through July 28. Organizers are encouraging attendees to thank volunteers they see working throughout the week.
