(Massena, IA) — Rising country star XOLEX is on the road this summer and her next stop is Massena for a special 4th of July performance at 8:00 P.M. Saturday night.
Alexis Curran, also known as XOLEX was born and raised in Chariton, Iowa and has had a relationship with music almost her entire life. She moved to Nashville in 2023 to pursue music full-time and is continuing to make a big name for herself this year, touring across the state and opening for BigXThaPlug on the Iowa State Fair Grandstand in August. Curran recalls her first time recording music during the COVID-19 pandemic:
Curran graduated from Chariton High School in 2016 where she found success in sports such as volleyball and basketball; she would then attend Iowa State University. Curran says she’s been writing music her entire life, starting off with songs tailored around her faith:
Being from southern Iowa, where there aren’t many big stages or record labels, opportunities didn’t come very often for Curran. However, Curran says her roots shaped the kind of artist she is today:
Curran says Massena can expect her biggest hits as well as some unreleased material this Saturday. Curran is set to hit the stage in downtown Massena at 8:00 P.M. with fireworks at dusk.
