(Harlan, IA) — Two rivals battle for the last time in a Hawkeye Ten conference clash tonight as Lewis Central visits Harlan, coverage on KSOM. LC is on the way to the Missouri Rivers Conference next year so the future of the rivalry is in doubt.
Harlan is 12-6 and in third place in the conference at 9-3; the Cyclones are coming off a 13-6 win over Bishop Heelan last night. Harlan beat the Titans the first time around at Iowa Western 4-1 — Sophomore Gavin Sisson pitched six strong innings and allowed just one unearned run on one hit, walking three, hitting two batters and struck out two. Sisson will pitch tonight as well — he is 1-1 with a 4.62 ERA overall. Harlan Head Coach Heath Stein says he does a good job of mixing up his pitches

The Titans are 17-2 and first place in the conference at 13-1. They have a team ERA of 1.93 — Senior Ayden Buckles is the ace with a 5-0 record and 1.81 ERA in six appearances and four starts. The offense is led by Sophomore Brooks Bond who is hitting .560 with 6 HR and 22 RBI. Stein says the key to beating LC is stopping him
