(Union County) One person died in a two-vehicle crash in Union County.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at 2:44 p.m. on Thursday at 265th Street and Warble Avenue.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Tanner Richardson of Tingley was driving a 2005 Ford Explorer eastbound on 265th Street and went through the stop sign, causing a head-on collision with a 2020 Volvo driven by 60-year-old Ricky Stewart of Mount Ayr.
Life Flight transported Richardson to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where he was pronounced deceased. Stewart was not hurt.
