(Atlantic) At Wednesday’s Atlantic City Council meeting, and during his report, Mayor Rob Clausen said the city cleanup challenge is underway. At the May 6 City Council meeting, Clausen announced an incentive to beautify community spaces.
The upcoming initiative encourages homeowners to tidy up their yards, complete landscaping, or improve any outdoor areas. To participate, residents will need to take before-and-after photos of their cleanup efforts and submit them to city officials for verification. Upon approval, they will receive a $20 gift certificate to Udderly Delicious.
Clausen reminds the public that no taxpayer dollars are being spent on ice cream.
Clausen also mentions Councilman Shawn Sarsfield’s volunteer group called “Keep Atlantic Beautiful. This is a group of 30 or more volunteers helping to clean up property for people who otherwise cannot do the work themselves due to physical or financial constraints.
In closing, Clausen congratulated the Atlantic softball team for starting the season with an 8-0 record.
