(Atlantic) A single-vehicle accident on Interstate 80, north of Atlantic, resulted in minor injuries to one individual.
According to Cass County Sheriff John Westering, the incident occurred around 7:56 a.m. on Wednesday, on the eastbound side of Interstate 80 near the 56-mile marker. The driver involved was identified as 64-year-old Ray Flournoy from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Cass EMS responded to the scene and transported Flournoy to Cass Health for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening. Sheriff Westering noted that the accident temporarily obstructed the inside lane of Interstate 80. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
