(Calamus, Iowa) Two people died in a UTV accident in Clinton County over the weekend.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 3:22 p.m. on Sunday at 2474 158th Avenue. Authorities did not release the victim’s names.
According to the report, for unknown reasons, a 2013 Polaris ATV left a trail, entered the south water course, and flipped onto its top on private land.
The driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The passenger was transported by ground ambulance to an area hospital and pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Iowa State Patrol and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash
