(Guthrie Center) At Wednesday’s meeting, the Adair-Casey Community School District Board of Education discussed secure entryways, restroom remodel, and a recent survey regarding daycare within the community.
Adair Casey-Guthrie Center Schools Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says the survey showed a need to expand the community’s existing daycare.
Rasmussen said the school district owns the building currently used for the daycare, and discussions focus on whether there is additional space available on the Adair-Casey campus or on expanding the existing building.
The school board also discussed plans to continue improving security measures across all ACGC Community School District buildings, beginning with the Adair-Casey campus. Josh Rasmussen said the Adair-Casey School Board supports bringing in Denovo Construction Solutions to evaluate improvements to school entryways and upgrade restroom facilities to make them more accessible to people with disabilities.
