(Atlantic) Dan Haynes, Executive Director of the Nishna Valley YMCA, announced that they are nearing the conclusion of their last strategic development plan, which focused on facility and program development, including proposed expansions and renovations of the YMCA. They are now advancing the “Blueprint for the Next Chapter,” aimed at shaping the organization’s future and enhancing its impact on the community.
Haynes is inviting community members, leaders, and YMCA supporters to an upcoming forum on Wednesday, April 29, at the Cass County Community Center, located at 805 W 10th Street in Atlantic.
The forum will address six key focus areas: health and wellness, facilities and operations, childcare and education, sustainability, community and family engagement, and staff and volunteers. He emphasized the need to adapt the YMCA’s operations to better serve the community’s needs.
The event will kick off with dinner and social time at 5:00 PM, followed by a Community Input Session from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Dinner will be catered by Downtowner Café & Catering, with complimentary drinks available during the social hour. The YMCA encourages everyone interested to attend and share their thoughts about the organization’s long-term vision and sustainability. RSVP by 12:00 p.m. today by emailing frontdesk@nishnavalleyymca.com. Haynes mentioned that RSVPs will still be accepted after today.
