(Atlantic) The Atlantic boy’s tennis team had some strong performances despite the 7-2 loss to Glenwood on Tuesday.
The Trojans number one and two singles players Preston Harter defeated Brennan Anderson 8-4, and the number two doubles team of Rayden Wheeler, and Monte Smith topped Graham Newberry and Myles Longmeyer 8-4. Wheeler, Smith, and Koen Juhl suffered narrow defeats 8-5, 9-8, and 9-8 respectively, and Michael Hocamp put up a good fight at number #6 before falling short 8-5. Harter and Brock Goodrich fell to the narrowest of margins 8-6 at number one doubles.
The Rams won the match led by number #2 Graham Newberry, #3 Dylan Cutshall, #4 Myles Longmeyer, $5 Ben Carlo, and #6 Gideon Davis. The doubles teams of Anderson/Carlo, and Cuthshall/Davis earned wins at number #1 and number #3 doubles respectfully.
