(Atlantic) The lineup is set for the Atlantic Tennis team’s home meet of the season against Creston on Thursday. Despite the fickle weather conditions, Atlantic Head Coach Mike McDermott says they have been able to get some quality practices over the past two weeks.
Coach McDermott says Rayden Wheeler, the only returning starter, will start at number two, Preston Harter, a newcomer, will be at number three, and freshman Monte Smith will fill the number four spot.
Coach McDermott says Creston will be a good matchup for his squad.
Coach McDermott says matching up the doubles teams has been put on the back burner for now. He says for this opening match, one will square off with two, three and four will team up, and five and six will play together.
Coach McDermott says there are four other players at the J.V. level he is looking forward to watching compete, including Kayden Newman, Fletcher Toft, Liam Spencer, and Brock Goodrich.
The match starts at 4:30 p.m. at Atlantic.
