(Earlham, IA) — AC/GC, Panorama, and Treynor’s Boys competed at the Earlham Co-Ed Early Bird Relays on Tuesday night. Here are the highlights for each team:
AC/GC Boys: No wins for AC/GC but five 2nd place finishes — Brexton Schneider in 110 Hurdles (15.23); Ryan Martens in the 200 (24.00); Morgun Nolte in the 400 Hurdles (1:03.26) and two relays were in 2nd — the Shuttle Hurdle (Nolte, Collin Stringham, Will Skram, and Schneider) ran a 1:06.24 and the 4×400 (T. Noland, Martens, Lane Stringer, and Andrew Baumert) ran a 3:48.80. In addition, Preston Kent was 3rd in the 1600 (4:59.65) and Joe Crawford was 5th in the 100 (11.84).
AC/GC Girls: The best finish for the Chargers was Cadence Petersen in 400 Hurdles who was third (1:14.64) — Petersen also was 7th in the High Jump (4-04). Nora Langaard was 4th in the Long Jump (14-08).

Panorama Boys: Reed Draper won the Long Jump, going 19-10.50. Also for the Panthers — Corbin Deardoff was 5th in the 400 (57.84) and Cristian Monrroy-Nunez 5th in the Shot Put (42-10.25)
Panorama Girls: Kylie Rochholz had the best finish for the Panther girls, 3rd in the 1500 (5:10.00). Emma Walker was 5th in the Discus (91-03).

Treynor Boys: The Cardinals won four relays and Cauy Konz had four first place finishes overall — the Senior won the 100 at 10.87 seconds which is the 9th fastest time in the state and is probably fast enough to get into the Drake Relays which takes the top 32 runners. The blue oval standard is 10.75. Konz also won the 110 Hurdles at 14.66 which ranks 14th in the state and the Drake Relays also take the top 32. The blue oval standard in the 110 Hurdles is 14.50. Konz did not run in the 200 where he currently ranks 2nd in the state at 22.08.
Konz also was in the 4×100 relay with Drew Meyers, Keatyn Dirks and Riley Lauver which ran a time of 43.47 seconds — it was not their best time; their best is 42.70 which has already achieved the blue oval standard of 43.20 and they rank 3rd in the state. Finally, Konz won in the Shuttle Hurdle Relay with Brock Casey, Luke Christensen and Dirks with a time of 58.87 which achieved the blue oval standard of 59.00 and qualifies them for the Drake Relays. It is currently the third fastest time in the state.
Treynor also won the 4×400 relay with Luke Parrott, Finn Mieska, Bryce McIntosh, and Jude Mieska at 3:48.51 and the 4×200 relay with Kratyn Dirks, Lauver, Keatyn Dirks and Meyers at 1:33.58.
Meyers was 2nd in the Long Jump (19-05.25); Lauver was 2nd in the High Jump (6-00); Keatyn Dirks was 2nd in the 100 behind Konz at 11.38; Christensen was 3rd in the 110 Hurdles (15.36); and Alec Lovely was 3rd in the 400 Hurdles (1:03.31).
