Audubon Boys Track Results: Bulldog Shuttle Hurdle Relay Sets School Record

(Audubon, IA) — Audubon finished its two day early bird meet with the boys taking the track on Tuesday night and the guys did not have as good as conditions — it was cold and windy but the front straightaway runners got the wind at their backs. Wind or not, Riverside had a dominating night winning 5 of the 7 relays.

Riverside’s Shuttle Hurdle relay team is faster now than what they ended last season. Returning three members from last year’s finalist, the Bulldogs ran a 1:00.70 which set a new school record. Last year at state, the shuttle team ran a 1:01.63 with Jett Rose as anchor. Jaxon Gordon, Keegan Smith and Aaron Smith are back while Peyton Amdor is the new anchor. The Bulldogs also won the 4×100, 4×400, Distance Medley, and 4×800 relays. Owen Fenner was first in the 400 and Gordon was first in the 110 Hurdles.

Collin Harder of AHSTW won the 800 by 2 and a half seconds over Brody Henderson of Riverside.

Brody Schultes of Audubon finished 4th in the 200 and was part of the Sprint Medley and Distance Medley relays that were in 2nd place and the 4×400 that was third.

Underwood had a solid night with three first place finishes: Tayden Hull won the 400 Hurdles; David Kilibarda Foote won the discus and the Eagles Sprint Medley team won as well.

Haven Weers of Tri Center dominated the long distance runs, winning the two mile by 50 seconds and winning the one mile by nearly 13 seconds.

Trevon Keely won the High Jump at 6-04. Keely is the defending state champ in the event and jumped 6-08 last year. He was the only jumper who cleared 6 feet or better and he was doing it with only three practices and with an injured knee.
