(Atlantic) Republican candidates for Governor, U.S. Senate, and State Auditor addressed a range of issues during a GOP forum Tuesday night at the Cass County Community Center in Atlantic, hosted by Republican groups from Adair, Audubon, Cass, Montgomery, and East Pottawattamie counties.
U.S. Senate candidate Jim Carlin—an Army veteran, Iowa attorney, and former member of both the Iowa House and Senate—attended the event. Carlin says the American people are being robbed.
Carlin says we are going to have to do their homework.
Carlin added that he has stood up to leadership when he felt they were wrong.
Carlin’s Republican Primary opponent, Ashley Hinson, who currently represents Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District, was unable to be there due to her responsibilities in Washington, D.C.
