(Cass Co.) Iowa’s annual statewide tornado drill will take place Wednesday, March 25, beginning at 10:00 a.m. during the weekly NOAA Weather Radio test.
Mike Kennon, Cass County Emergency Management Coordinator, says that outdoor warning sirens throughout Cass County will sound as part of this drill. County residents who are signed up for local emergency alerts will also receive text and/or phone notifications. Kennon adds that this is a good way to test the system and give people a chance to better prepare for severe weather.
