(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police Department is investigating a death near Indian Creek in Council Bluffs.
According to the Council Bluffs Police, on Monday at approximately 2:03 pm, Council Bluffs Police were dispatched to the west side of Indian Creek, south of the 1700 block of Veteran’s Memorial Hwy., for a report of a dead body. The deceased male was located by a city Public Works employee who was mowing the creek bank.
The decedent has been identified but his name is not being released at this time so that extended family can be notified.
At the present time, investigators do not believe the death is suspicious but an investigation is ongoing and will include an autopsy.
