(Red Oak, IA) — There was a fatal single vehicle accident in Montgomery County that resulted on Thursday night. At 9:15 pm, the Montgomery County Communications Center received a call of an accident near the 2300 block of C Ave SW of Red Oak. Upon arrival, deputies located a 17 year old male who sustained life threatening injuries in a single ATV accident. The male was transported by Red Oak Rescue Personnel to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital and later transferred by helicopter to Nebraska Med Center. It was there where the male succumbed to his injuries.
