(Undated) — A new study shows people who eat a lot of ultra processed foods have a much higher chance of dealing with serious health issues.
The study was published in the journal of the American College of Cardiology. It shows those who eat nine servings a day of ultra processed food have a 67 percent higher risk of heart attacks, stroke and dying from heart disease compared to those eating one serving a day. The risk gradually rose with each serving.
Research shows Americans get close to two-thirds of their daily diet from ultra-processed foods.
