(Greenfield) The Iowa State Patrol arrested an Indiana man on drug possession charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 on February 10.
The trooper observed an eastbound vehicle near the 86-mile marker that matched the description provided in a broadcast from Cass County Communications regarding a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed.
The trooper recorded the vehicle traveling at 88 miles per hour and then again at 81 miles per hour before initiating a traffic stop near the 88-mile marker. The driver was identified as 53-year-old Timmy Mohr of Wabash, Indiana.
During the stop, the trooper observed a vape device resembling a THC pen. Mohr stated he had purchased THC gummy packages that were located under the rear passenger-side floorboard. Also located in the vehicle was a bag containing multiple THC products, including marijuana buds in dispensary packaging, a jar containing rolled joints, and six packages of THC gummies.
Mohr faces charges of Possession of a controlled substance Marijuana, 1st offense. He was transported to the Adair County Jail and held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond.
In other activity, the Adair County Sheriff’s Office arrested 50-year-old David Allen Jones of Lamoni on a Bench Public arrest warrant on February 13.
