(Pottawattamie Co.) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors approved dissolving the 28E with Southwest Iowa MHDS Region effective December 31st.
Suzanne Watson, Director of Community Services, explained that last month the Governing Board officially dissolved the 28E that created the region back in 2014.
Watson said they also will clear out the Region account and that money will get sent back to the State by the end of December.
In other action, the Supervisors approved $60,000 in funding to Western Iowa Development Association for FY26/27. They approved the Auditor signing off on the forgiveness of $35,000 for the Stoneybrook East Phase 1 Development. And, the board approved the updated office guidelines and policy changes for the Veterans Services department.
