(Cass Co) The Cass County Sheriff’s Office arrested 51-year-old Shawn Christopher Powell, of Tennessee, on August 20th on charges of Enticing a Minor Under 16 – sex abuse, Grooming, nine counts of Dissemination and Exhibition of Obscene Material to a Minor, and Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance to a person under the age of eighteen.
Powell was transported to the Cass County Jail where he was booked and held.
This arrest was part of a month’s long investigation conducted by the Cass County Sheriff’s office and is still under investigation.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, and Federal Agents of the FBI.
