(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie Center Public Health dedicated a newly remodeled public health facility on Tuesday. At the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors meeting, resolution 25-30 was passed naming the facility the Stephen Bascom Health Center in honor of Dr. Bascom a long time physician in Guthrie Center. Jotham Arbor the Director of Guthrie County Board of Health says that the new facility will have a huge impact in the treatment of mental health
The facility will also have new first responders available to provide much needed services to the county. Arbor says they will work in coordination with the fire department and other first responders
The new facility will also provide gap health services for those who fall between the cracks in insurance
The facility is located at 2002 State Street in Guthrie Center and will be open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
