(Shelby Co) A program in Shelby County will focus on the April 26, 2024 Tornado Disaster and the Lessons Learned.
Alex Londo, Shelby County Emergency Management Agency Coordinator, said the tornado, which was about a mile wide, traveled approximately thirty miles from the southern part of the county to the northern part, impacting around 70 homes.
The Tornado Disaster, Lessons Learned event will be held on June 4th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the C.G. Therkildsen Activity Center in Harlan. Alex Londo said attendees will hear from a variety of speakers, including landowners who were impacted by the tornado.
Alex Londo said that whether or not you were impacted by the tornado, this is a great event for everyone to attend.
