(Griswold, IA) — The Griswold Girls Track and Field team has one more meet before next week districts. Tonight, the Tigers head to Corning to compete in the Southwest Valley Co-Ed Meet. Head Coach Rachel Larson says they won’t run a complete line up tonight but will try to get some of their relay line ups finalized
Last Tuesday, Griswold finished 2nd in the Corner Conference meet behind Fremont Mills and Larson saw a number of standout performances
One of the challenges for Larson is to narrow down the list of events for people like Carsyn Adams and Addison Adams who have competed in multiple events throughout the year. You are only allowed 4 events to compete in on one night so Larson says its going to be difficult to see which 4 they go with
Griswold is fortunate this year to host so many meets — two regular season meets, the conference meet and state qualifying district meet next Thursday. That doesn’t happen too often
Both Griswold Boys and Girls teams will be at Southwest Valley tonight. Other teams competing include AHSTW, Bedford, CAM, East Mills, East Union Boys, Essex, Fremont Mills, Nodaway Valley, Orient Macksburg, Sidney and Stanton
