(Des Moines, IA) — The AC/GC Chargers won the West Central Conference Boys title on Tuesday night, edging the host school Des Moines Christian by just four points. Van Meter ran away with the Girls conference title.
AC/GC was led by Mike Fuller who won both throws — PR in the Shot Put at 51-08.50 and took the Discus at 147-11. Tate Fever won the 400 Hurdles with a season PR of 54.92 and finished 2nd in the 110 Hurdles with a PR of 15.19. Brexton Schneider won the 110 Hurdles with a PR of 14.75. Eli Madsen won the 400 (50.89). The 4×100 team of Joe Crawford, Schneider, Kade Sorensen and Madsen won with a time of 43.42 and the Shuttle Hurdle Relay won with Morgun Nolte, Fever, Tommy Skram and Schneider with a PR of 1:01.75.
Ava Campbell for the girls got two conference titles — winning the 800 with a PR of 2:15.65 and anchoring the Distance Medley relay with Nora Langgard, Meranda Gruber, and Caydence Petersen with a PR of 4:16.35. Campbell was also 2nd in the 1500 (4:53.38)
