(Atlantic) The Atlantic girls’ soccer team wrapped up the week on a high note, bouncing back after a tough start. The Trojans opened with a loss to perennial contender St. Albert on Monday but responded with a 3-3 draw against Creston on Thursday and a solid 2-0 road win over Knoxville on Friday.
Maddie Richter led the charge offensively, scoring all five goals for Atlantic across the two games. Aydrie Coffman added three assists, while Chloe Lillard contributed one. In goal, Clara Kennedy recorded seven saves.
Head Coach Dan Vargason praised his team’s resilience and performance throughout the week.
Vargason noted the change in formation contributed to the team success on the offensive end.
Coach Vargason says Richter has been move around to match the opposition.
The Trojans Keeper, Clara Kennedy owns a 75-percent save percentage.
The Trojans travel to Wall Lake, and face East Sac County on Monday, and play Harlan at Merrill Field on Tuesday.
