(Area) Nishnabotna Valley REC representatives posted on social media this morning that they understand everyone is eager to know when power will be restored, but at this time, they cannot provide a specific timeline. Officials noted that when you call their office, have your account number ready.
Meanwhile, Officials say crews are working diligently to get everyone’s power restored and are making progress in multiple areas:
*North of Harlan – Crews are actively working on getting power restored here to Defiance and Westphalia.
*Earling & Fiscus Substations – Efforts are underway to back feed power to help restore service around Manning, Irwin, and Manilla.
*West of Shelby – A crew is en route to begin restoration efforts.
*Brayton Area – Another crew is headed that way soon to restore power to members.
Once NIPCO completes repairs on its transmission lines, we can finalize the restoration process. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work quickly and safely!
As of 4:00 p.m., March 19, the impacts included approximately 18 miles of downed transmission lines, twenty-one stations offline, and over 3,700 service outages across Crawford, Harrison, Ida, Monona, Shelby, and Woodbury counties.
