(Des Moines, IA) — Atlantic finished its 2025 boys wrestling season walking away with hardware. For Aiden Smith, he became the first 4 time medalist in Trojan wrestling history with a third place finish. On Saturday, the senior beat Elijah Kupka of Benton by fall at 2:49 and then had a rematch with Jax Miller of West Delaware and won by TF 15-0. Smith finishes with a 6th, 2nd, 7th and now a 3rd place medal. Smith’s final senior record is 47-4 and his only loss in the state tournament was to the #1 seed.
Evan Sorensen went 1-1 on the day, winning in the consolation semifinals by MD 18-4 over #2 seed Sam Christensen of Central Lyon but lost to Ethan Wood of Mount Vernon 7-3 and after not medaling the last two years, walks away with a 4th place in his senior year. Sorensen finishes 43-5.

285 — Henry Lund gave up two reversals and lost by fall at 2:57 to Jacob Bishop of Hinton in the consolation semifinals but rebounded and in the match for 5th, the senior won by fall at 1:21 over Tyler Sulseberger of Sloan Westwood and finished with a record of 46-6.

144 — Dylan Stein got a takedown with about 30 seconds left in the third period to beat Caleb Swedin of GTRA 6-5 in the consolation semifinals but lost to Lucas Bose of Underwood MD 13-5 in the consolation finals to finish a solid 4th place and 52-3.
157 — Chase England lost his match MD 10-2 and finished 8th with a 46-9 record.

106 — Crosby Yoder won his 7th place match 8-0 over Connor Morrow of Akron Westfield and finished 51-3

126 — Davis Bramman finished in 7th place with a medical forfeit and had a 46-10 overall record.

175 — Zach Robbins beat Shayden Washburn of Alburnett 14-3 in the consolation semifinals but lost by tech fall in the consolation finals to finish in 4th place and 45-6.

144 — Lucas Bose won his consolation semifinal match 6-2 over Ryan Groom of North Mahaska and then beat Dylan Stein of Lenox MD 13-5 and the #5 seed finished in 3rd place with a 49-3 record, the only loss in the tournament was to the #1 seed.

113 — Weston Porter won his consolation semifinal match 10-6 over Ben Walsh of Ankeny. In the consolation finals, Porter got a takedown with 26 seconds left and rode out Jack Wallukait of Dowling, winning 6-4 and taking home third place with a 48-5 record.
190 — Paxton Blanchard lost in the consolation semifinals by fall at 1:36 to Cole Martin of Ames and then lost to Trey Feist of North Scott 5-1 and finished in 6th place with a record of 50-13.
