(Denison) Atlantic clinched the 2025 Hawkeye Ten Wrestling Tournament title on Saturday, accumulating 236.5 points to edge out Lewis Central, which finished a close second with 227.0 points.
Creston initially took the lead, but as the tournament progressed, Atlantic and Lewis Central exchanged the top spot in a back-and-forth battle. Ultimately, both teams crowned four individual champions. The Trojans won the title with three runner-up finishes compared to Lewis Central’s two.
For Atlantic Aiden Smith (138) earned his fourth Hawkeye Ten Conference title, while Keaton Schroeder (103), Jaydn Harter (150), and Evan Sorensen (285) also claimed championships. Runners-up- Collin Harris (113), Braxton Hass (120), and Kalvin Hayes (144) each finished second.
For Lewis Central- Zander Manz (113), Weston Porter (120), Carter Schorsch (132), and Mandius Volentine (144) secured individual titles. Runners-up: Paxton Blanchard (190) and Joseph Monge (215).
Adam Baier, of Red Oak won the individual title at (157), Dayton Gusman, (126), and Kyler Sandholm, (138) finished second.
Jesse Jens, (126), won the individual title, while Brody McKinley, (150) finished second. Spencer Fink won his third place match notching his 100th career victory.
Jack McGargill, (165), and Jayden Dickerson, (190) captured titles. Along with Dominch Polsley, (175), of Clarinda, and Glenwood’s Mason Koehler, (215), of Glenwood.
