(Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a work session this morning to review and compare compensation for elected officials.
In October, the Supervisors decided not to reestablish the Compensation Board and to take on the duties of deciding wages for elected officials.
Supervisors Chair Steve Baier noted that Supervisors Steve Green and Mark O’Brien spent a significant amount of time gathering data and crunching numbers. Averages were compared in all of southwest Iowa.
The Supervisors held a lengthy discussion with some of the elected officials and in the end, no recommendation on a compensation schedule was made today.
