(Johnston, IA) A Johnston elementary school has shut down for the week because of illness. Beaver Creek Elementary School decided not to hold classes yesterday or today as the number of students battling sickness has climbed. The school noted that more than 20 percent of students have missed class this week. That’s when officials decided to call off school and close the KTC daycare. School is expected to resume as normal on Monday.
