(Area) A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of southwest Iowa from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today (Wednesday).
The National Weather Service says winds will be out of the northwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected. Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
In addition, a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity is in effect from noon to 5 p.m. today for Shelby, Pottawattamie, Mills, Montgomery, Fremont and Page counties.
