(Plymouth Co) A Hinton woman died in a two-vehicle accident in Plymouth County this (Wednesday) morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says 64-year-old Joann Martin, of Hinton, was driving a 2021 Chrysler Voyager westbound on C70, crossing the northbound lanes to turn south on US 75. Martin pulled into the path of a northbound 2000 Freightliner semi, driven by 53-year-old Scott Mitchell, of Hornick. The semi struck the left side of the Voyager. Both vehicles crossed the median into the southbound lanes. The semi overturned and blocked the roadway.
Hinton Ambulance transported Joann Martin to a funeral home.
