(West Des Moines, IA) – As we’re over halfway through the regular season of softball action, the IGHSAU has released its week five rankings for the 2024 softball season. These rankings are compiled by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. The local teams in Class 1A feature Martensdale-St Marys in first, Wayne in second, Griswold moves into the top ten at 10th, and Earlham remains in 12th. For Class 2A teams, Van Meter ranks first, Audubon moves up three spots to seventh, Missouri Valley moves down a spot to eighth, and Interstate-35 ranks 10th. In Class 3A, Clarinda jumps back into the top ten at 9th. Jumping over to Class 4A, North Polk sits in first, Carlisle has been put at seventh, ADM is right behind in eighth, Winterset ranks at 11th, Bondurant-Farrar is 12th, and Gilbert is at 15th.
