(Iowa City, IA) – Hawkeye Caitlin Clark continues to make national headlines as the senior just agreed to an NIL deal with Gatorade. She joins Gatorade as the second player in women’s college basketball alongside UConn’s Paige Bueckers.
Clark has now signed on with not only Gatorade but Buick, State Farm, Nike, Bose, and Hy-Vee, among many others. Clark made sure that the money is spent wisely, in which $22,000 will be going to the Caitlin Clark Foundation which hosts a multitude of youth programs to help out lower-income communities.
The campaign is targeted at those who wouldn’t think that they will be able to achieve greatness, but rather Clark states that they can. She said in a statement to KCCI, “I was once that little Iowa girl who was inspired to dream big. And that dream was more than women’s basketball. I’m still that girl from Iowa. But now, it’s my turn to inspire.”
#4 Iowa will return back to the hardwood to take on Cleveland State on Saturday, December 16th at 7:00 p.m.
